By default, this command requires the Moderate Members permission. This command requires the bot to have the Moderate Members permission.
Time out a member using Discord’s native timeout feature or remove their existing timeout. This fails if they are not in the server.

Syntax

/timeout <user> <duration> [reason] [private-notes] [silent]
ParameterInformation
userThe user to time out.
durationThe duration for which to time out the user (up to 28 days). If 0, removes the user’s timeout.
reasonThe reason to log and send to the user.
private-notesA private reason to log (not sent to the user).
silentIf true, the user will not be notified of their timeout/timeout removal.
